Some Govt agents do not believe in Tinubu’s administration – Bwala

Daniel Bwala, the former spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar’s 2023 presidential campaign, has alleged that certain government officials do not have confidence in President Bola Tinubu.

This comes after the Presidency recently confirmed that a cabinet reshuffle is expected.

Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, acknowledged that the President is considering a shake-up in his cabinet but did not provide details on when or how the ministers will be reassigned or removed.

Speaking on the development, Bwala claimed that some politicians are trying to play it safe so they don’t incur the wrath of the people.

He spoke on Channels Television while reacting to Tinubu’s planned cabinet reshuffling.

Bwala said, “Some agents of the government, very sadly, their attitude suggests that they don’t even believe in the president. They prefer to play it safe; they feel that if they depend on the government, they will incur the wrath of the people. They want to be clever by half.”

Spirit Of #EndSARS Haunted #EndBadGovernance Protesters – Bwala

Meanwhile, Bwala, has said that the #EndBadGovernance protesters were haunted by the spirit of the #ENDSARS protest.

According to him, the protesters felt that the only way to compel the government was a hydra-headed approach

He stated this while speaking with Arise News.

Bwala acknowledged that protest is the constitutional right of people, but stated that the protesters and the government must be ready to learn.

He said, “Protest is the constitutional right of people and the lessons to learn are on both sides of the protesters and the government.

“But I think it has more to do with the protesters because when they started this protest, some of us were advising that no matter what your objectives are, you should be able to have leadership that would negotiate like trade union.

“The spirit of EndSARS haunted them because they have this belief that once there is identified leadership, they are likely to be compromised by the government. So, they felt that the hydra-headed approach was what would compel the government.

“We also know that because of the dynamics of Nigeria and undemocratic elements who have interest in this whole thing, we were advised that if you go to a protest without a defined goal, the undemocratic elements are likely to seize it and when they do that, your rights would be abridged.”
