Zidane’s eldest son Enzo, retires from football at 29

Enzo Zidane, the eldest son of football legend Zinedine Zidane, has retired from professional football at the age of 29.

After a decade-long career, Enzo is stepping away from the game to focus on his family and personal investments.

The midfielder, who came through Real Madrid’s academy, last played for Spanish club Fuenlabrada, where he made 29 appearances and contributed to five goals.

After a season without a team, he has decided to hang up his boots, according to Diario AS.

Enzo’s career saw him play for clubs including Real Madrid Castilla, Alavés, Lausanne, Almería, and Rodez.

He made one senior appearance for Real Madrid, scoring on his debut in a 6-1 Copa del Rey win against Cultural Leonesa.

Enzo is one of four Zidane brothers, all of whom have passed through Real Madrid’s academy.

His brother Luca is currently a goalkeeper for Eibar, Theo plays for Córdoba, and Elyaz recently joined the Real Betis academy.
