Mourinho calls out Osimhen, claims player dives too much

Fenerbahce manager, José Mourinho has slammed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for diving too often during matches.

Osimhen, who recently joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli, is set to face Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the Turkish Süper Lig.

The Portuguese gaffer, who previously managed AS Roma and faced Osimhen several times in Serie A, revealed that he had personally addressed the issue with the player.

“I told Osimhen, ‘You’re one of the best players in Africa along with Salah, but you can’t be diving,’” Mourinho said in an interview with HT Spor.

Meanwhile, despite his criticism, Mourinho acknowledged Osimhen’s talent but believes the forward needs to improve in this aspect of his game.

“He dives too much, and that’s my problem with him, but after 10 minutes, we are fine,” he added.
