Enzo Maresca praises Sancho ahead of Bournemouth clash

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is delighted having Jadon Sancho in his squad following the winger’s loan move from Manchester United.

Sancho joined Chelsea earlier this month and Maresca is optimistic about the player’s potential to make a difference in attacking situations.

“I’m very happy to have Sancho at Chelsea,” Maresca stated. “He’s here because we like that kind of player who can help in 1vs1 situations.

“He’s key, especially against a low block, we need him,” Maresca added, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.

The England’s international loan deal includes an obligation for Chelsea to sign him permanently for £23 million.

However, this will happen only if they finish above 14th place in the Premier League this season.

Should that condition be met, the 23-year-old will sign a long-term contract with the club.

Sancho is expected to make his debut in Chelsea’s upcoming league match against Bournemouth on Saturday, where fans will get their first look at the winger under Maresca’s system.
