American rapper Rich Homie Quan passes away

American rapper, Rich Homie Quan has reportedly passed away at age 34 due to overdose according to sources online.

The ‘Type of Way’ crooner had allegedly overdose throwing the hip-hop community into mourning.

Following Rich Homie Quan’s death, several celebrities have posted about it. Rapper Boosie confirmed on X that an overdose was the cause of Quan’s death.

The 34-year-old Atlanta rapper was recently in the stands at the trial of YSL label boss Young Thug, who is facing RICO charges over running a gang responsible for several murders.

Rich Homie Quan was associated with Young Stoner Life Records, the label owned by Young Thug. Known for tracks like ‘Type of Way,’ ‘Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh),’ and ‘Lifestyle,’ where he collaborated with Young Thug and Birdman. He also released nearly 20 albums in a career that spanned over a decade.

He is not the only rapper who have passed away due to over dose in 2024 as Enchanting died at age 26 in June after suffering from a drug overdose. A representative for the rapper, née Channing Nicole Larry, stated that she was reportedly going through withdrawal from a drug addiction in her final days, saying, “She came to my house the last four days to get clean. She tried her best, and I did everything I could to help her; she tried.” Per an official statement from Enchanting’s team, the artist had been taken off of life support following a drug overdose.
