AFCONQ 2025: Boniface, Nwabali, nine others arrive camp ahead of Benin, Rwanda clash
Eleven players have now reported to the Super Eagles camp in Uyo ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
The camp saw the arrival of key players, including team captain William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Ola Aina, and Taiwo Awoniyi, on Monday morning.
Joining them was the interim head coach, Augustine Eguavoen, who arrived from Belgium, along with one of his assistants, Fidelis Ilechukwu.
Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface and goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali were the last players to join the camp on Monday night, completing the initial group of 11.
The remaining 12 squad members are expected to arrive on Tuesday, after which the team will hold their first official training session at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The Super Eagles are gearing up for these crucial qualifiers as they aim to secure their place in the 2025 AFCON tournament.
