Breaking: Napoli near loan agreement with Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen
Napoli and Galatasaray are reportedly close to finalizing a season-long loan deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna confirmed the advanced talks, stating, “We are close to an agreement.”
According to Corriere dello Sport, negotiations have moved quickly, with both clubs agreeing on a dry loan, meaning Osimhen would move to Turkey without an option for Galatasaray to buy him outright.
The Turkish side is expected to cover Osimhen’s full salary, which amounts to nearly €11 million per season.
Representatives from Galatasaray are already in Naples to finalize the paperwork, aiming to complete the deal as early as tonight, reports Football Italia.
The move comes after Napoli excluded Osimhen from their Serie A squad, following a dramatic breakdown in relations between the player and the club.
Osimhen, who had expressed a desire to leave Napoli months ago, appears keen about joining Galatasaray, especially given the alternative of remaining sidelined until the January transfer window.
