Ugarte in Manchester to undergo United’s medical, per Fabrizio

Manchester United are on the verge of finalizing a €60 million deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

The Uruguayan, who is now in Manchester, is expected to undergo a medical on Wednesday (today), and finalize his move to Old Trafford.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ugarte landed in Manchester overnight and is scheduled for a medical.

“Manuel Ugarte, in Manchester as he landed overnight. Plan confirmed. Medical today.”

Gistreel Sport previously reported that Ugarte, 23, had prioritized a move to Manchester United despite interest from other clubs.

Ugarte joined PSG from Sporting CP last year for a similar fee of €60 million but has struggled to secure regular playing time under manager Luis Enrique.

While he initially showed promise, Ugarte has since struggled to adapt to Enrique’s possession-play system.

This led to his reduced role in the squad.
