Ronaldo tipped for Manchester United return for different role
Cristiano Ronaldo has been tipped to make a return to Manchester United, not as a player, but in a coaching or managerial role.
According to his former United teammate Louis Saha, the Portuguese superstar has the passion and knowledge to take on such a role in the future.
Saha suggested that Ronaldo’s second stint at United, which ended in controversy nearly two years ago, left the five-time Ballon d’Or winner frustrated.
“He didn’t see the same formula and passion from young players that he was used to,” Saha said.
However, he is confident that Ronaldo, known for his hardwork, could channel his experience into a successful managerial career, much like other former players such as Roy Keane.
Ronaldo has previously expressed little interest in coaching, saying in 2019 that he wasn’t interested in a managerial career.
However, he didn’t completely close the door on the possibility. “Maybe one day I will be bored and I will feel like it,” Ronaldo hinted.
Ronaldo’s legacy at Manchester United is well-established, having first joined the club in 2003 and later returning in 2021.
Despite his controversial exit following a public fallout with Erik ten Hag, Saha believes Ronaldo’s future involvement with the club could bring a new era of success.
