“Exclusive story, confirmed,” Romano added.

The Athletic also announced the news, stating that Felix has agreed to personal terms and will sign a six-year contract with Chelsea, with an option for an additional year.

The deal will keep him at Stamford Bridge until he’s aged 30.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher is expected to complete a €42 million move to Atletico Madrid.

The England midfielder had initially returned to London after the transfer was delayed, but with Felix’s move now finalized, Gallagher’s transfer is also set to proceed.

The exact fee for Felix’s transfer remains undisclosed, but it is believed to be between €40 million and €45 million, according to Romano.

Atletico Madrid, who signed Felix for €127 million, are likely relieved to offload his salary, especially given the strained relationship between Felix and manager Diego Simeone.
