Daniel Regha knocks Burna Boy, others for mocking new Miss South Africa 2024

Media personality Daniel Regha has criticized singer Burna Boy and others for mocking the newly crowned Miss South Africa 2024.

This is coming after Burna Boy reacted to the announcement of the new Miss South Africa, following the withdrawal of Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina who competed in Miss South Africa 2024.

Daniel Regha on the X platform, noted that a deaf woman winning the Miss South Africa 2024 shows a representation of inclusivity.

Even though what happened to Chidinma was unfortunate, it remains hypocritical and racist to judge Mia, the winner, based on her skin color.

His words: “A deaf woman just won Miss South Africa for the first time, that’s a show of representation & inclusivity; What happened to Chidimma is unfortunate, but it’s also hypocrisy to mock the winner (Mia) based on her skin colour. That’s subtle racism, & the very same thing we are trying so hard to end.

“I am tired of Africans hating on fellow Africans; We are despised by many foreigners (racists), & also disunited amongst ourselves. Africa is the one place very African should be able to call home, but we continue fighting a never-ending war. The xenophobia, the tribalism, & ethinic bigotory is truly disappointing.”
