Liverpool, Manchester City target Real Madrid’s Rodrygo

Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly vying for the signature of Real Madrid’s star forward Rodrygo Goes.

The 23-year-old Brazilian winger has attracted interest from both Premier League giants, although Real Madrid currently have no plans to sell any of their key players, reports Football Espana.

Rodrygo, who has been a crucial part of Madrid’s squad, may face increased competition for a regular starting spot in the 2024/25 season.

This is because of the arrival of Kylian Mbappe and the potential threat from Arda Guler.

This uncertainty has led to speculation that both Liverpool and Manchester City could make a move, with the English clubs viewing him as a long-term asset.

Manchester City are particularly keen on Rodrygo as a possible replacement for Julian Alvarez, who is set to join Atletico Madrid.

On the other hand, Liverpool see Rodrygo as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, who is drawing attention from Saudi Pro League clubs.

Despite the interest, Rodrygo has shown little desire to leave the Spanish capital.
