Chelsea abandon pursuit of Osimhen, shift focus to Atletico’s Omorodion

Chelsea have officially ended their pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, turning their attention to Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion.

After weeks of complex negotiations with Napoli, which included discussions of a swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku and a substantial cash sum, the London club has decided to move on.

The drawn-out negotiations created anxiety within Napoli, who remain interested in acquiring Lukaku to satisfy new coach Antonio Conte.

However, Napoli needs to sell Osimhen before investing in a new center forward.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea are now pushing to secure a deal for Omorodion, shifting focus entirely from Osimhen.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain remains interested in Osimhen, and Arsenal could also re-enter the race, according to Football Italia.

Interest from Saudi Arabia also exists, but the 25-year-old Nigerian striker is reportedly not keen on that option.
