Nigeria advances to men’s shot put final at Paris 2024 Olympics

Nigeria has advanced to the men’s shot put final at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, Nigeria’s candidate for the sport advanced to the final by placing fifth overall in qualification Group B, with a throw of 21.13 meters.

This achievement marks him as the first Nigerian to reach the final in any event at the ongoing games in Paris.

Recall the 31-year-old African champion previously made it to the final of the shot put event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

With this year’s advancement, Enekwechi aims to reach the podium and secure a top-three finish on Saturday.
