Burna Boy dissociates himself from nationwide protest, states reason

Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has made it clear why he will not be participating in the ongoing nationwide protests.

Via the microblogging platform X, the internationally acclaimed singer reacted to a video from October 2020 during the EndSars protest where his song was played and the protesters requested that the song be removed.

According to the African Giant, the fight in him died that day and cursed anyone who involved his name amid the protest.

He wrote: “The fight in me Died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around.”

In another post, he vented about never getting anything from any politician. He said: “No politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think I’m your faves. 😂.”
