Talks on hold for De Ligt as Man United fall to reach player’s valuation
Manchester United‘s efforts to sign Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich have stalled, with the two clubs €15 million apart in their valuations.
According to Sky Germany, United are unwilling to meet Bayern’s €50 million asking price plus bonus payments for the Dutch defender, who made 30 appearances across all competitions last season.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich, firm on their valuation, have no intention of lowering the price.
In a similar development, Bayern Munich have made an improved bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah.
However, Leverkusen believes the offer still falls short of their valuation.
Tah, 28, has reached an agreement in principle to join Bayern, but the clubs have yet to finalize the deal.
GGFN reports that this unresolved transfer could impact United’s pursuit of De Ligt.
