Serie A veteran backs Conte to support Osimhen if Napoli exit fails
Former agent and Serie A veteran Oscar Damiani believes Napoli coach Antonio Conte is well-suited to help Victor Osimhen should he remain with the club.
Damiani, who has represented notable players like Andriy Shevchenko, acknowledged the challenges Napoli faces in selling Osimhen this summer.
He emphasized that time is running out for a potential transfer.
“The negotiation between Osimhen, Napoli, and PSG is complex and demands substantial financial commitment, even for PSG,” Damiani said, as reported by TMW.
The situation regarding Osimhen’s potential move to PSG is expected to reach a conclusion within the next 10 days.
However, this does not guarantee an agreement will be reached.
Damiani expressed confidence in Conte’s ability to motivate Osimhen if he stays at Napoli.
“If he stays at Napoli, Conte will know how to give him the right sort of motivation,” he stated. “Napoli is a great club and will fight with the greatest ambition.
“Conte will have to assess some of the players at the retreat in Castel di Sangro, but the team is currently full of quality and can compete at the top,” he added.
