Dayo Adeneye reveals ladies used to faint during 2Face’s performances

Music executive Dayo ‘D1’ Adeneye narrates how ladies used to faint whenever the music legend, 2face a.k.a 2Baba performed.

He shared a fascinating account on the ‘Deep Dive’ podcast with Teju Babyface.

The music executive revealed that 2Baba’s performances have a mesmerizing effect on women, citing an incident where four ladies fainted during a concert in Ivory Coast.

Adeneye, who previously served as the director of Kennis Music, 2Baba’s former record label, also mentioned that the label had a roster of over 50 artists at its peak.

He said …

“At the height of Kennis Music, we had over 50 artists on the label. Lagbaja was signed to us. We had everybody, from gospel to hip-hop to fuji,” he said.

“We’ve been at a couple of shows where I’ve seen girls faint when 2Face was performing. I went on a tour in Ivory Coast, and brought a girl on stage and she hugged 2Face and passed out. During that concert, four girls fainted.

“These were people who didn’t speak English but they knew the lyrics of all his songs word-for-word. This was a francophone country and four girls fainted. We thought it was a joke but an ambulance had to carry them. They fainted just because they were in the presence of 2Face.”
