Real Madrid set to present No. 9 jersey to Kylian Mbappe

Real Madrid have announced that Kylian Mbappe will be officially presented to fans next week at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The event, scheduled for Tuesday, July 16 is expected to draw a crowd similar to the 70,000 fans who welcomed Cristiano Ronaldo in 2009.

According to an official statement from Real Madrid, club president Florentino Perez will first greet Mbappe at the training facilities where the French forward will sign a five-year contract.

Following the signing, Mbappe will address the fans at the Bernabeu and later meet the media for the first time as a Real Madrid player.

Alongside the presentation, the Spanish capital side have also confirmed several shirt number changes for the upcoming season.

Mbappe will don the number nine shirt, previously worn by Karim Benzema.

Eduardo Camavinga will switch to number six, Fede Valverde will take the number eight, Aurelien Tchouameni will wear 14.

Meanwhile, Arda Güler will take 15, and Jesus Vallejo will wear 18 upon his return from a loan spell at Granada, although Vallejo is expected to leave the club.

Mbappe joins Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, seven years after the club first attempted to sign him from AS Monaco.
