Leny Yoro wants Real Madrid despite Manchester United bid
Leny Yoro reportedly wants to join Real Madrid, even after Manchester United had a bid accepted by Lille his club.
Manchester United submitted a bid exceeding €50 million for the 18-year-old center-back, which was accepted by Lille.
Despite this, Yoro prefers a move to the Spanish capital.
Dubbed the ‘next Virgil van Dijk’, Yoro has had a fine season with Lille, establishing himself as a starter for the 2021 Ligue 1 champions.
Making his debut at just 16, he became the second-youngest player to feature for Lille, surpassing Chelsea legend Eden Hazard.
Meanwhile, former United defender Rio Ferdinand has made a public plea for Yoro to consider a switch to Old Trafford.
“There’s an 18-year-old, I’d love him to come to Manchester United,” Ferdinand said on FIVE. “Man United please make the offer and please accept because with this kid, his ceiling is as high as anybody right now, [William] Saliba included.”
Yoro’s standout performance came in a 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain last December, where he successfully handled Kylian Mbappe.
