Official: Michael Olise joins Bayern Munich on five-year deal

Michael Olise has officially signed with Bayern Munich on a five-year contract until June 2029, according to sports insider Fabrizio Romano.

Crystal Palace will receive £45 million plus £5 million in add-ons, along with a sell-on clause.

Olise, who completed his medical on Sunday, expressed his excitement about joining the Bundesliga giants.

“Talks with Bayern were very positive. I am very happy to be playing for such a big club. It’s a big challenge, exactly what I was looking for.

“I want to prove myself at this level and win titles,” Olise stated.

The move comes after Chelsea pulled out of negotiations over the player’s wage demands.

Despite Crystal Palace setting Olise’s price at £60 million, Bayern pulled the necessary strings that made the deal happen.

Meanwhile, Olise’s former Chelsea academy teammate, Jamal Musiala, welcomed him to Bayern.

“We used to play together in Chelsea academy, it was nice! He’s super talented, his skills are excellent.

He has scored many goals at Palace so… I’m happy that he’s joining Bayern,” Musiala said.

Olise’s arrival coincides with the appointment of Bayern’s new manager, Vincent Kompany, who recently joined from Burnley.

Olise’s career journey has seen him grow from the Chelsea academy and playing for Reading, where he made his professional debut before shining at Crystal Palace.

Now, the French midfielder looks forward to proving himself in Germany with one of their best clubs.
