Chelsea sign Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa for £19m

Chelsea have announced their second signing of the summer, securing 18-year-old attacking midfielder Omari Kellyman from Aston Villa for £19 million.

This follows the recent signing of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham.

Kellyman, an England youth star, has signed a six-year deal at Stamford Bridge.

He impressed in the Premier League 2, scoring seven goals in 12 appearances.

Last season, he made six appearances for Aston Villa, debuting professionally in a Europa Conference League match against Hibernian, where he provided an assist.

Despite his recent contract extension with Villa, Kellyman has been highly regarded and made his England Under-20 debut this month.

Recall Aston Villa have also announced the signing of Chelsea’s full-back Ian Maatsen for £37.5 million.

Maatsen had a successful loan spell at Borussia Dortmund, contributing to their run to the Champions League final, where they sadly lost to Real Madrid.
