Croatia’s quest for a first victory at Euro 2024 continues after a dramatic 2-2 draw with Albania on Wednesday.
The match saw Croatia fail to maintain a late lead, leaving them still searching for a win in the tournament.
Zlatko Dalic’s side fell behind early, with Qazim Laci scoring for Albania just 11 minutes into the game.
Croatia struggled to find their pace in the first half, but a second-half form put them ahead.
Andrej Kramaric equalized in the 74th minute, followed by a catastrophic own goal by Albania’s Klaus Gjasula just two minutes later, giving Croatia a 2-1 lead.
However, Croatia’s defense faltered in the final moments. Despite efforts to hold on, they conceded a dramatic 95th-minute equalizer, once again from Gjasula.
