Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the departure of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who leaves the club on a free transfer.
Ndombele leaves the London club following a mutual termination of his contract.
Ndombele, who joined Spurs in 2019 for a club-record fee of €62 million, struggled to make a lasting impact during his time in London.
His tenure was marred by injuries and multiple loan spells, including stints at Olympique Lyonnais, Napoli, and Galatasaray.
With one year remaining on his contract, Tottenham and Ndombele reached an agreement to end his stay early.
The Frenchman’s last appearance for Tottenham was on January 9, 2022, in an FA Cup match against Morecambe.
Tottenham wished Ndombele well in their official statement, saying, “Wishing you all the best, Tanguy.”
