All set for Vincent Kompany to takeover as new Bayern Munich manager

Bayern Munich are on the verge of appointing Vincent Kompany as their new head coach, succeeding Thomas Tuchel.

The club have already agreed on personal terms with Kompany, but finalizing the deal hinges on negotiations with Burnley, who recently faced relegation from the Premier League.

Burnley are reportedly demanding €20 million for the release of Kompany, while Bayern Munich have so far offered €10 million.

A compromise is expected to be reached at around €15 million.

According to Bild, Bayern Munich are not considering Kompany as a temporary fix and are set to offer him a three-year contract, keeping him at the Allianz Arena until 2027.

The appointment follows Bayern’s previous rejections by several high-profile coaches, including Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Oliver Glasner.

Despite speculation that Bayern might be seeking a short-term solution before pursuing Alonso or Jürgen Klopp next summer, Kompany has been a primary target for the club’s sporting director, Max Eberl, from the beginning.
