Nigerian lady posts photo of few tomatoes she bought for N1,500 at market
A Nigerian lady has cried out on Facebook after purchasing few tomatoes for a huge cost of N1,500.
Hope Martins said she purchased the tomatoes on a Sunday and the quantity came as a great shock to her.
She further lamented about the state of Nigeria and how bad things have been getting, economy wise.
In her words: “N1,500 tomatoes this Sunday morning.. Hmmmmm Nigeria this is not wat bargained at all.”
Nigerians who saw her post also lamented over the hardship in the nation and the continuous rise in the price of foodstuffs.
Molala said: “This is just 9 and it’s not equal size,this should be 700naira on my street. Cos you will get 5big one for 500 and tiny one for 200 in my area.”
Joy Chinyere reacted: “It is well. same thing I bought yesterday evening. I was really pained.”
Ade Francis reacted: “I even dey sick cos I too waka for market dey find cheap tomatoes, this country is no longer funny.”
Umezuru Peace said: “My sister it was something else yesterday, a paint rubber was 7k, 4pieces of tatashe 1k and about 8pieces of shombo #500. Things are really getting out of hand in this country.”
Charity Udaba added: “This almost the same size my nurse bought yesterday for 2k yesterday in Nnewi here for my eyes. Omo I picked race because I wanted to make tomato stew today.”
