Bukunmi Oluwasina celebrates 34th birthday in grand style, shares her emotional birth story online

Nollywood actress Bukunmi Oluwasina has joyfully taken to social media to mark her 34th birthday, using the occasion to reflect on her unconventional birth story.

The actress shared a touching anecdote about her parents’ surprise when she was born.

In a reflective Instagram post, the actress disclosed that her parents had been expecting a boy, even preparing for his arrival with anticipation.

According to Bukunmi, on the eve of her birth, her mother was en route to the hospital, armed with baby items and clothing bought specifically for a baby boy.

Meanwhile, her father was eagerly making plans for the traditional naming ceremony, excitedly anticipating the arrival of his first son.

However, their expectations were hilariously shattered when Bukunmi made her entrance into the world as a girl, leaving her parents in disbelief.

The actress shared that her journey of surprising her parents began even before she was born.

In her words:

“So, on this day, many years ago, around this time, history has it that, my mum was already in labour. On her way to the hospital, with a bag filled with baby items and cloths she had bought for her incoming baby boy, as she has been told.

My dad was already making plans on how to arrange for the cow he would kill for naming. Man couldn’t wait to meet his first son.

Ladīes and gentlemen, I have been a joke from day one.
O shock won bakan.

Feel free to say, na for inside belle I don dey live my private life.

Yeah, it’s few hours to my day.
Dad, I know you won’t be calling again tonight as usual.
I would have loved to however, just be saying amen to your past prayers from you, for my past birthdays in my head,
But all you have prayed for, for me then are already answered.

So, all I have got to say now, is
THANK YOU LORD.
For all that you have done that I know and the ones I do not”.

In another post, Bukunmi extended her gratitude to God for another year of life.

“Thankful for another year of Grace around the sun.
