Tunde Onakoya receives heroic welcome at airport after breaking Guinness World Record

Nigerian chess expert Tunde Onakoya, who broke the previous Guinness World Record for the longest chess marathon, receives a royal welcome from his compatriots at the airport.

At the famous Times Square in New York, the founder of Chess In Slums Africa achieved 60 hours of playtime on Saturday, setting a new record that is pending confirmation from GWR.

In a trending video, a cultural group was seen serenading Tunde upon his arrival at the international airport in Lagos state.

The plane crew and airport staff marveled and took pictures as they presented him with a bouquet of flowers and were accompanied by singing and dancing by the band.
