Dortmund worried over Sebastian Haller’s fitness ahead of Atletico clash
Borussia Dortmund face uncertainty over the availability of key striker Sebastian Haller for their upcoming Champions League clash.
Haller is doubtful ahead of Dortmund’s quarter-final second leg against Atletico Madrid.
The player, who scored in the first leg, sustained a foot injury during Dortmund’s match against Borussia Monchengladbach and was substituted after just 10 minutes.
Despite starting the game against Monchengladbach, Haller’s injury now raises doubts about his participation in the upcoming clash against Atletico Madrid.
Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, has described the situation as “very unfortunate,” according to Football Germany.
Meanwhile, head coach Edin Terzic expressed hope that Haller’s injury is not severe.
The club are also being careful about rushing his recovery.
In addition to Haller’s injury, Dortmund also faced a setback with English winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens who also suffered a back injury during the same match.
