Atletico Madrid enter race for Ederson amidst Tottenham, Juventus interest

Atletico Madrid have emerged frontrunners for the signature of Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who is also being chased by Tottenham and Juventus.

Atletico’s boss Diego Simeone has reportedly prioritized the Brazilian midfielder as his top target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to reports from Marca, Atletico Madrid are prepared to meet Atalanta’s €30 million valuation for Ederson, aiming to bolster their midfield options.

While Juventus and Tottenham have also expressed interest in Ederson, along with his teammate Teun Koopmeiners, Atletico Madrid are leading the race with their proactive pursuit.

Ederson, who turns 25 in July, has impressed this season with six goals and two assists in 36 competitive appearances for Atalanta.

Originally signed from Corinthians to Salernitana in January 2022 for €6.5 million, Ederson’s market value has soared since joining Atalanta.

His contract with the Serie A club runs until June 2026.
