A Nigerian lady sparked a conversation on social media as she celebrated her 1-month wedding anniversary with her husband, a man she met at a JAMB registration center during preparation for the exam.
In a fresh post on social media that has attracted thousands of likes and hundreds of shares, the beautiful wife shared a short and emotional epistle about how they met and the struggles they’ve faced.
She wrote: “He’s the only guy who kept his word, even though some of his friends told him to leave me because I’m not up to his standards.”
“Some of them body-shamed me; one even went to the extent of trying to force another lady on him.”
“Some told him I would leave him and break his heart; one even said only a light-skinned person would suit him.”
“But he never let these words get to him. He believed so much in me. He said he would surely bring out the best in me and that he would never leave me.”
“This guy has traveled to many countries, yet he still kept his promises by constantly coming to Nigeria to check on me.”
“At a time when he wanted me to follow him, my parents said no. He said to me, ‘Even if it’s my money for food, I would rather use it on a flight to come and see you. I will never let distance be a barrier between us.”
“He spends nothing less than 4 million naira on each trip just for flights to see me. He never let me lack; he preferred me to be okay than himself. I believe he’s an angel for real. The husband of my youth.”
The beautiful couple also attached photos of their wedding and old days as youths.
