Juventus fine Vlahovic €70,000 for red card bagged in Genoa’s game
Juventus have decided to fine Dusan Vlahovic €70,000 following his red card incident during the match against Genoa on Sunday.
The Serbian striker received two yellow cards for dissent during the game, leading to him being sent off from the pitch.
Coach Massimiliano Allegri confirmed that Vlahovic would face financial consequences for his actions.
The fine amounts to €70,000, equivalent to 5% of his monthly gross wages, as reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
As a result of the red card, Vlahovic has been handed a one-match ban, making him unavailable for Juventus’ upcoming fixture against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome after the international break.
Again. due to back pain, the former Fiorentina forward has remained in Turin and will not participate in the Serbian national team’s activities during the March break.
However, Vlahovic, who arrived at Juventus in an €80 million deal from Fiorentina in January 2022, has been a standout performer for the Bianconeri this season.
He has so far scored 15 goals in 27 appearances across all competitions, he holds the title of the team’s top scorer.
