The latest injury, which has been revealed to be a slight muscle injury to the adductor of his right thigh, will see him sidelined for approximately 10 days.
The 30-year-old absence comes as a blow to Roma, as he has contributed significantly with 14 goals and seven assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
In addition to missing Roma’s match against Sassuolo, Dybala will also be unavailable for Argentina’s upcoming friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica.
Similarly, concerns also loom over the fitness of Romelu Lukaku, who is dealing with hip inflammation, and is in contention for the upcoming game.
