“I will be loud about my values; you can’t mock or shame” – Bride reacts following criticisms over her message on decency
A Nigerian bride, Deborah Ocheido reacts after being dragged for her controversial wedding message about modest and decent dressing amongst women.
It would be recalled that the bride had taken to the micro-blogging platform, X, to share photos of her decent dress on her traditional wedding day.
Sharing the photos, she had remarked that she doesn’t need to dress naked on her wedding day in order for her to look beautiful.
This remark didn’t sit well with people who consider her statement to be somewhat condescending and they blasted her for it.
Following the harsh criticisms that followed, the bride, Deborah Ocheido took to her page to declare boldly that she will always be loud about her beliefs, values and faith.
She noted that she dares to be different from others and can’t be shamed for her principles.
Her words …
“I will be loud about my faith!
I will be loud about my values!
I will be loud about my beliefs!
My name is Deborah!
I come from a long line of warriors( check the Bible)
I dare to be different!
You can’t shame me
You can’t mock me
You can’t push me out of these streets”
