“If anything happens to me, it’s Tinubu” – Nigerian man voices outrage as small portion of beans costs 500 naira
A young Nigerian man sparked a conversation on social media as he expressed disappointment over the small portion of cooked beans sold for the sum of 500 naira.
This is depicted in a video captioned: “EVERYTHING IS TOO EXPENSIVE RIGHT NOW 😿E REACH MAKE I ASK IF SHE WAS MAKING A COMEDY SKIT 😢😠GOD BLESS NIGERIA.”
In the video, the man’s voice could be heard expressing doubt as he asked the food vendor about the price of the beans, saying: “How much is this beans?”
In response, the beans vendor told him, “This is 500 naira for the beans.”
He then asked her if she was joking, to which she responded that she wasn’t joking.
Shocked by this, the man raised his phone to show his face while saying: “See if anything happens to me, blame Tinubu,” expressing disbelief that the beans, which was a very small portion, cost 500 naira.
