Ten Hag vows to match City in Sunday’s Manchester derby
Erik ten Hag is determined to lead his men to victory when they meet Manchester City in a highly anticipated derby on Sunday evening.
Despite trailing City by 15 points, the Dutchman in a pre-match interview, said United have the quality to beat the reigning champions at their backyard.
Ten Hag emphasized United’s ambition, stating, “We want to be the best. That is what United stands for.”
He stated the team’s belief, noting that they have shown they can compete with top sides.
Acknowledging City’s dominance in recent years, with six league titles since United’s last victory in 2013, Ten Hag stressed the need for United to bounce back.
“We can’t accept it. We have to show ambition. We want to be the No 1,” he noted.
