Nigerian lady in Austria pleads for help as social worker takes custody of only child
A Nigerian lady living in Austria tearfully begs for help after a social worker in the country takes custody of her only child without consent or further notice.
A video making the rounds on social media captured a teary mother whose 4-year-old child was taken into foster care – a system in which a minor has been placed into a ward, group home or private home of a state-certified caregiver.
According to the lady, her only child was taken from her school in Vienna with the allegations that the baby claimed to not be safe in her mother’s care.
She stated that the social worker alleged that she was physically assaulting the child, hence the reason for taking her into custody.
In her words, “Please help me, they took my child from kindergarten and till now I can’t talk to my daughter. When I called them, they said she does not want to speak to me; a 4-year-old that cannot speak. Please help me.”
