EPL: Salah shines as Liverpool cruise past Brentford

Liverpool secured a 4-1 win over Brentford, with Mohamed Salah making a remarkable return from injury, after AFCON disappointment.

The win was marred by key injuries to Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota, dealing a blow to their upcoming fixtures, including Carabao Cup final against Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Salah, back from a hamstring injury, was instrumental in the win for Liverpool, propelling them five points of the Premier League table.

Jurgen Klopp will have to endure injuries sustained by Jones and Jota, who were forced off in the game.

 

The situation worsened when Darwin Nunez, the scorer of Brentford’s first goal, did not return for the second half.

Liverpool dominated the game, with Alexis Mac Allister extending the lead after Salah’s pass.

Despite missing earlier chances, Salah capitalized on Brentford’s defensive errors to add a third goal.

Ivan Toney pulled one back for Brentford, but another defensive lapse allowed Cody Gakpo to score Liverpool’s fourth goal.
