AFCON: Yul Edochie replies critics over false prophecy
Popular actor, Yul Edochie breaks silence after being called out over false prophecy about Super Eagles final AFCON match.
It would be recalled that the actor-turned-clergyman had taken to social media to predict that the Super Eagles wouldn’t go into a penalty shootout with Ivory Coast.
He had prophesied that it would be a very comfortable win for the Super Eagles.
Alas, this hadn’t come to pass, and many Nigerians took to social media to drag him.
Yul had written:
“Today’s game will not get a penalty shootout. Nigeria will comfortably defeat the Ivory Coast.”
Following the false prediction, Yul Edochie took to his social media page to console Nigerians and offer words of encouragement.
He wrote:
“It is well. Thank you Super Eagles. Getting to the finals is as good as winning. We are proud of you all. Great performance in the tournament.
“Win or lose, good or bad, we’ve been here. I love my country Nigeria. Better days ahead. Giant of Africa.”
