Barcelona eye Milan’s Rafael Leao for summer move
Barcelona are reportedly targeting a summer move for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao, according to reports from Spain.
The Catalan club, preparing for the departure of coach Xavi at the end of the season, is keen on strengthening their squad with a physical central midfielder and a talented winger.
Despite a relatively modest goal-scoring record this season, Leao has impressed with six goals and nine assists in 28 appearances for Milan across all competitions.
However, the 24-year-old signed a contract extension last summer, tying him to the club until June 2028.
While Barcelona has inquired about Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, their primary target is Leao, who has been on their radar previously, Football Italia suggests.
The Portuguese winger is reportedly open to a move in the summer, with a preference for a club in the Premier League or La Liga over a return to Ligue 1, despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
