Kidnappers kill daughter and her mother who travelled to Abuja to celebrate the birth of her grandchild

Suspected kidnappers have reportedly killed a woman and her daughter in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.

The victims, who had come to celebrate the birth of their grandchild, fell victim to a ruthless kidnapping that ended in tragedy.

The heartbreaking story was shared by a family member, Prince Victor Omonu, in a Facebook post on Friday.

According to Victor, the woman had travelled to Abuja to partake in the joyous occasion of welcoming a new member to the family.

However, the happy occasion turned into a nightmare when the suspects kidnapped the woman, her daughter, and the newborn baby.

The assailants reportedly took the lives of both the mother and daughter. The motive behind the abduction and subsequent murders remains unclear.

“It’s a sad world. My relative came to Abuja to celebrate the birth of her grandchild; she was kidnapped alongside her daughter and newborn. Just got the news now that she and daughter have been murdered this morning. What a sad world. The baby is still alive though,” Prince Victor Omonu wrote.
