Tragedy as Nigerian man dies 24 hours after arriving UK for postgraduate studies

A Nigerian man reportedly dies 24 hours after he arrived UK to commence his postgraduate studies.

The sad news was broken on Twitter by the Nigerians in UK community page through their handle.

It was reported that the man known as Mr Saheed Wahab was to commence his MSc postgraduate studies at the university of Teesside but died 24 hours later on Tuesday.

A burial ceremony and internment is said to be held in the UK for him.

The post read:

“Following the sad news we received regarding the death of Mr Saheed Wahab, a student at Teesside University who died a day after arriving in the United Kingdom from Nigeria.

He was here to start a MSc qualification, but unfortunately he died on Tuesday (16th January) afternoon in Teesside.

May Almighty Allah forgive his sins and accept his return.

We have reached out to his wife and family members in Nigeria, and they’ve given us permission to act on their behalf and arrange a funeral services for him here in the United Kingdom.

We’ve also been able to contact the coroner where his remains is.”
