Roma set to extend Jose Mourinho’s contract with conditions

Jose Mourinho’s future at Roma looks set to continue as reports suggest the club is preparing to offer him a new deal.

However, the deal is said to have some conditions attached to it. While the Portuguese manager has expressed his desire to stay, the club owners want Champions League football.

The Friedkin family, who oversee operations at the Serie A side, have reportedly deliberated for months on Mourinho’s future, considering that he is entering the final season of his current deal.

Calciomercato reported that the Friedkins have made their decision and are planning to offer Mourinho one more season, with an option for a second that would be activated only if Roma secures qualification for the Champions League.
