Boniface soars with Bayer Leverkusen in 4-0 thriller against Bochum

Victor Boniface scored his 16th goal of the season for Bayer Leverkusen in thrilling 4-0 win against Bochum.

Leverkusen who are having one of their best seasons in years, rained terror on their visitors, with water-fall of goals.

Although Boniface scored, It was Patrik Schick that stole the spotlight with his quick-fire hatrick in the first half.

He broke the deadlock for the home team at the half-hour mark, adding another just two minutes later.

Schick completed the smooth ride just before the end of the half, frustrating Bochum’s fans.

He handed the baton over to Boniface, as the Nigerian was introduced to replace him in the 67 minute.

Boniface hardly settled in, before firing a deflection into the corner, to take his goal tally to 16 in all competition this season.

With the victory, Leverkusen still maintain their lead in the Bundesliga league table with 42 points, ahead of Bayern Munich with 38.
