“Stay strong” – Mudryk’s heartfelt message to Tripper after blunders in Carabao Cup quarter-final
Mykhailo Mudryk has sent a heartfelt message to Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier for his errors on Tuesday’s Carabao Cup game.
Trippier made a blunder in the final minutes of the game, leading to a late equalizer by the Ukrainian star for Chelsea, while also missing his penalty for Eddie Howe’s side.
In an Instagram post after the game at Stamford Bridge, Mudryk sent his thoughts to the player,
“Kieran, I just wanna say to you: stay strong. Sometimes s**t happens but I think you are strong footballer, no matter what.”
Chelsea advanced to the Carabao Cup semi-finals after the equalizer that led to penalties.
In the penalty shootout, Mauricio Pochettino’s men showed composure as they successfully converted all of their four spot-kicks.
On the other hand, Trippier yet again, and Matt Ritchie missed their penalties for Newcastle, resulting in Chelsea winning 4-2.
