37-year-old man kills brother by stabbing his chest with a stick over foodstuffs in Anambra

A 37-year-old Nigerian man, Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, has been arrested for allegedly killing his elder brother, Emmanuel Okafor, by stabbing him in the chest with a stick during a dispute over foodstuffs in Anambra State.

The incident happened on Friday at Adegbe Village, Abagana, in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.

Eyewitnesses said the argument between the siblings escalated into a physical confrontation.

In the heat of the fight, Kosisochukwu reportedly stabbed his brother in the chest with a stick, causing severe injuries.

“The fight broke out after a heated argument over foodstuffs in their home. The younger brother used a stick to pierce his elder brother’s chest, and he collapsed,” an eyewitness recounted.

Emmanuel was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
