2024 summer transfer window: Top 10 most expensive deals
The 2024 summer transfer window has seen clubs across Europe and beyond flex their financial muscles.
The window marked several high-profile moves that made headlines, although not as much as that of 2023.
Topping the list is Julián Álvarez, who swapped Manchester City for Atlético Madrid in a deal worth £64 million plus add-ons.
In the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur made a significant splash acquiring Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth for £55 million.
Manchester United, looking to bolster their defense, brought in French teenager Leny Yoro from Lille for £52 million.
Fourth on the list is Chelsea, who continued their spending spree landing Pedro Neto from Wolves for £51 million, to add more firepower to their attack.
Paris Saint-Germain, not to be outdone, signed João Neves from Benfica for £50 million, marking another major investment in their midfield.
Amadou Onana’s moved from Everton to Aston Villa for £50 million and Moussa Diaby’s switched from Aston Villa to Al-Ittihad, also for £50 million.
In Spanish La Liga, Barcelona added Dani Olmo to their ranks from Leipzig for £47.2 million.
Juventus also strengthened their midfield with Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta for £46.1 million.
Rounding out the top ten, Bayern Munich signed Michael Olise from Crystal Palace for £45 million plus add-ons.
