2019 AFCON: Nigeria Coach Reveals Selection “headache” Ahead South Africa Game
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has admitted having a selection “headache” as Nigeria take on South Africa at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Nigeria will battle the Bafana Bafana on Wednesday in a quarter-final tie at the competition.
However, while speaking during the pre-match conference, Rohr admitted that having all his players fit for the clash is a major concern.
“I have a selection headache after starting this tournament with plenty injuries and illnesses,” the gaffer added.
“We had the full 23 players train yesterday and that gives me a selection headache for tomorrow.”
He noted, also, that “We have to adapt because it is hotter and different from Alexandria here in Cairo and we have just one day to adapt. But we will be ready.”
