19-year-old lady graduates with first class, 5.0 GPA, sets new record at Babcock University

A Nigerian lady celebrates her remarkable achievement after graduating with a First Class and a perfect 5.0 GPA from the Department of Computer Science at Babcock University.

The news was shared through her post on X, formerly known as Twitter, where she expressed her joy and gratitude.

She wrote: “Highest CGPA, Department of Computer Science. Overall Best Graduating Student, School of Computing and Engineering. Thank you, Jesus! We are locked in.”

Accompanying her message, she shared a photo of herself with some of the awards she received, having set a new academic record.

On LinkedIn, she further detailed her accomplishments in a lengthy post:

On July 28th this year, at 19 years old, I graduated with First Class Honours in Computer Science.”

“I was awarded the Highest CGPA in the Department of Computer Science and made the Dean’s List as the Overall Best Graduating Student from the School of Computing and Engineering Sciences (covering Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Technology, Software Engineering, and Information Technology).”

“I’m thrilled to share that I finished my Bachelor’s Degree with a perfect 5.0 GPA in my final semester and successfully defended and published my final year project titled ‘Brain Tumor Identification and Classification Using YOLOv5 in Magnetic Resonance Imaging,’ earning an A grade of 90.”

I am deeply honored to have received several prestigious awards, including:”

– Google Generation Scholarship for academic merit.

– University Dean’s Prize for Highest CGPA in the School of Computing.

– Engineer (Dr.) Akin Alade Family Award for Best Graduating Student.

– Folajimi Daodu’s Award for Best Graduating Student.
