“106 hours non-stop” – Ijebu-Ode tailor breaks Guinness World Records for longest sewing marathon

A Nigerian tailor, Oluwaseun Kuforiji has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest sewing marathon.

The record-breaking feat took place in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, where Kuforiji sewed continuously for an astounding 106 hours, 55 minutes, and 20 seconds from January 22 to 26, 2025.

His achievement surpasses the previous record, marking a significant milestone in the fashion industry.

Kuforiji took to Instagram to share the exciting news, expressing gratitude for the recognition.

Officially a Guinness World Record Holder! 106 hours, 55 minutes, and 20 seconds of non-stop sewing—needle and thread in hand, passion in my heart! From crafting a full Agbada in the first six hours to completing 18 outfits, this journey has been nothing short of incredible,” he wrote.
